Why this matters
The World Islands has mostly sold at the very top of the market, with whole islands and large private villas. Samana plans homes with an entry price expected below AED 2 million. That is a new kind of buyer for the archipelago. Zawya also reports a premium target of about AED 3,000 per square foot.
How the island will work
The World Islands sits several kilometres off Dubai’s coast. Samana will act as master developer for its island and build its own power, water, sewerage and waste systems, plus marine transport.
- Yacht shuttles to mainland Dubai every 30 minutes. Embarkation points will be announced closer to launch.
- Core amenities are planned to open from the first handover.
- Ongoing costs will be covered through owners’ association and service charge arrangements. The service charge has not been published.
- The island is planned for year round living, not only holiday use.
Ask Samana for the service charge and the shuttle terms before you commit. On an island, both matter as much as the price.
